CYMBALS pendant lamps

These cymbals have travelled over a thousand miles with their drummer. Originally, they were an essential part of a larger assemble. In various bands, the cymbals have paced other instruments, giving joy to their player and audiences alike. After the cymbals’ original function came to an end, their lifecycle now extends in a completely different use. In all its roughness, the beauty of the surface material has inspired this artwork. With their rattle and sizzle silenced, the ripples and surges of light on the surface of the cymbals echo sound waves ceasing.
